We will be receiving a new batch of hats from our new supplier, so we have lowered our prices on our current supply to $24.95. We are out of some sizes. Hurry while they last.
These hand-made hats are the creation of the poorest rural people of Brazil. They are made from recycled canvas truck covers. The canvas shows evidence of its prior purpose with patches, holes, wear, and stains. No two hats are alike. We have made the effort to list every hat individually so you can pick the hat that's right for you.
These hats can be shaped, stretched, and shrunk to the perfect fit. Simply get your hat wet and shape it how you want and let it dry, or just wear it until it dries.
The hats are listed in order by size. Measure the circumference of your head and use the chart to determine the hat size you need.

More recycled canvas hats are on their way. If you don't see your size, send us an email and we will notify you when they come in.

These canvas hats come from the PARAÍBA PROVINCE (PB)
in North-Eastern Brazil near JOÁO PESSOA

Don’t forget the float plan.
It doesn’t matter if you are taking your 100’ yacht to Catalina or paddling your board to San Clemente, it’s a really good idea to leave a Float Plan with a reliable person who will contact the Coast Guard if you don’t come back. I hope we all have someone who cares enough if we come back or not. And don’t forget to check in if your plans change or when you get back. Our friends at the Coast Guard Auxiliary provide a helpful form at: www.floatplancentral.org/
